Give a girl the right shoes and she’ll conquer the Universe
I’m so excited to tell you about my fabulous friend Cara’s fundraising event at London’s exclusive Library on Wednesday 29th May. Cara Frew will be performing a live acoustic session, to raise funds for a-sisterhood in association with Helping Rhinos and The Black Mambas – South Africa’s incredible all-female anti-poaching unit.
High Heel Hierarchy is sponsoring Cara as she competes for the crown at Miss Universe Great Britain 2019. She is a strong, ambitious woman who lifts and builds others and frankly, I think the world needs more role models just like her.
I had no idea who Cara was before I met her, but that’s the effect she has, you see – she inspires people to stand up and join her causes. She has bought several pairs of designer shoes and some gorgeous bags from HHH (the girl knows the best place to shop designer😊) Her love for a pair of Christian Louboutin Equestria boots took her to HHH headquarters, where we met, and the rest is history…
Through her Miss Universe Great Britain journey, we have become firm friends and I can honestly say she is the most driven and hard-working person I have ever met, with the biggest, golden heart. In fact, MUGB presented her with an award last year for raising the most money for charity!
If you would like to attend one of the most dazzling and uplifting events of the year, you can buy a ticket for Miss Universe GB here.
Let’s stop for a second, while I let you know what Cara thinks about HHH. Because, when someone like Cara Frew has positive things to say about you, you publish them word for word:
“Roberta runs her business so professionally, HHH shoes and bags are top quality and customer service is outstanding. HHH was my first choice of a sponsor because I relate to Roberta in many ways, she too is a woman running her own business, taking risks and pushing to succeed. I am honoured to be associated with her and she has become a friend who I appreciate and look up to more than she knows.”
…She has excellent business acumen, don’t you think?!
As well as being a total babe, Cara is a singer-songwriter whose honey-hued voice just drips with emotion. She has five number 1 hits under her belt and has graced the stages of Coachella, Ultra Festival Miami and the famous Viper Room in LA to name just a few. Check out her Insta, it’s sublime.
She has a passion for conservation and animal welfare – she’s a Helping Rhino’s Ambassador. Which bring us to this event;
Let me give you two super quick statistics:
- Populations of rhino have declined by a staggering 90%. South Africa is at the centre of this crisis as it’s home to approximately 80% of the world’s remaining wild rhinos.
- The Black Mamba’s Anti-Poaching Unit has reduced overall poaching, snaring, and poisoning activities of all large mammal species by over 93% since their foundation just 6 years ago.
It’s pretty impressive stuff, isn’t it?
But they desperately need financial support in order to continue their work, and you can help make a huge difference by donating, please click here.
This is where Cara and the not-for-profit organisation A-Sisterhood come in. A-Sisterhood empower and protect women around the world. As well as The Black Mambas, they also support:
Smalls for All – a charity based in Scotland which provides underwear to women and girls in Africa.
Llamau – A Wales-based charity for the homeless which has special programs to support women.
National Female Genital Mutilation Centre – a UK based charity in England, supported by Barnardos, working to see the end of this crime against women by 2030.
Stop Acid Attacks – a charity in India which helps women who have survived acid violence.
Tickets are only £10 and this is the second year Cara has supported this event – it’s a fantastic opportunity to see one of her stunning live acoustic performances.
You’ll also be able to hear CEO of Helping Rhino’s Simon Jones’ talk about the work of the Black Mamba’s; enjoy drinks in a beautiful members-only club in the heart of London’s Theatreland; and even catch a glimpse of yours truly – I never waste an opportunity to glam up for a good cause. Don’t worry though, I’ll leave the singing to Cara!
I believe, and I know Cara will agree, that although we might not be able to change the whole world, we can definitely change someone’s world, human or animal, and that means everything. If you would like to see Cara crowned this years’ Miss Universe Great Britain use this link to get voting!
If you’re planning a visit to London – join us at the Library at 7pm on the 29th of May to celebrate charity, fabulous acoustic music, friendship and stylish strong women. Now really, is there any better way to spend your evening?
PS if you need striking designer shoes and awe-inspiring bags and accessories for this, or any other exciting event, you know where to look 😉
